Fantastic Themed Care Packages!

My husband is THISCLOSE to his next deployment and care packages are one of the many things on my mind and to-do list right now.

As I mentioned last post along with tips for sending them, care packages are so IMPORTANT during a deployment.  It is always hard to stay original and come up with new ideas and themes for each box.  We’ve been through a few deployments and I still run out of ideas. I like to keep it fun, a little like home, sweet and include necessities too.

I wanted to share a few care package ideas  with you today. I would love to hear your ideas as well so please leave a comment. I have a lot of boxes to mail in the next few months too!

TIP:  Do NOT send care packages addressed to “Any Soldier”,  ”A Wounded Warrior”, etc.  It is a great thought and done with the best intentions when people send care packages overseas or to places like Walter Reed that are intended for any soldier.   However,  unless a package is addressed to an actual person and sent to an actual address it will not be delivered for safety reasons.  If you want to send packages like that contact a unit, hospital, base, etc. and find out where they need things and what they need as well as an actual address plus a contact person.

• “Stay Smooth” Care Package Razors, Baby wipes, Chapstick, Shaving cream, Deodorant, Mouthwash, Lotion, Foot Powder, Soap, Loofah, Fluffy Towel, Toilet Paper

• “Feels like Home” Care Package Febreeze, Candle, Dryer sheets, Phone Card, Blanket, Glade Plug-ins, Slippers, Socks, Hot chocolate/coffee, Coffee mug, Pillowcase
• “Play Time” Care Package Silly putty,Squirt gun,Whoopie cushion, Funny face glasses, Sidewalk chalk, crayons/coloring book,  Balloons, Frisbee, mini sports balls
• “Let’s Go to The Movies” Care Package Movies, Popcorn, M&M’s, Doritos, Cracker Jacks, Rice Krispie Treats, Twizzlers, Cookies, Chips/Dip, Nachos (tortilla chips/cheese)

•  “Number 1 Fan” Care Package Sports Magazines, DVD of favorite sport, Cheetos, Popcorn, Personalize mug, Cookies, Favorite team jersey, Favorite team decorations
• “Get Well Soon” Care Package Puzzle, Chicken noodle soup packs, Green tea packets, Cold medicine, Crackers, “Get Well’ quotes, Goldfish, Fruit bowls, ” Get Well” Card
